Tips for Preparing for an Automotive Photoshoot
A little preparation can make a big difference in how your vehicle photographs. Before your automotive photoshoot, here are a few simple ways to have your car looking its best.
Give it a good wash: Dirt, dust and water spots can become surprisingly noticeable in high-resolution photos. Wash and thoroughly dry your vehicle as close to the session as possible.
Clean up the interior: If we're photographing inside the vehicle, remove any unnecessary items such as wrappers, bags, cables and other clutter. Don't forget areas that may be visible through the windows.
Bring a few detailing supplies: Having a small kit with you makes it easy to handle dust, fingerprints or water spots that appear during the session.
Microfiber towels: Perfect for quick touch-ups without leaving lint or streaks.
Quick detail spray: Useful for removing light dust or fingerprints and giving painted surfaces a final touch-up.
Window and glass cleaner: Clean glass makes a noticeable difference, especially when we're photographing the interior or shooting through the windows.
Tire dressing: Freshly cleaned tires can help finish the overall look of the vehicle. Apply it before arriving when possible so excess product has time to settle.
